ACS puts pressure on government to consider small stores ahead of DRS
The Association of Convenience Stores (ACS) Which represents over 33,500 local stores across the UK has recently reiterated calls for the government to take into account the challenges facing small stores ahead of DRS.
Speaking at a meeting of the Tidy Britain All Party Parliamentary Group, ACS government relations director Ed Woodall outlined how a well-designed DRS could work for the convenience sector. He also outlined the challenges to small businesses including: lack of space to store containers, the increased pressure on staff and the cost of operation.
